Natl. Assoc. of Realtors Is Leader of the PACs

Link To This Post.

The National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee is No. 1 in terms of PAC contributions so far in the 2006 election cycle with a whopping $1,561,605, according to the "Top 1,000" list at FEC Info, an independent campaign finance website.

Rounding out the top three was the National Beer Wholesalers Association PAC in the No. 2 spot with $1,461,000. No. 3 was the Association of Trial Lawyers of America PAC $1,300,500.

What was the name of that Zevon song? "Send Business Cards, Beer and Lawyers?" Something like that.

Anyway, NAR PAC's contributions, according to what's posted at FEC Info, show party donations have so far this cycle been equally distributed to Republican and Democrat organizations. Independent candidate donations mostly go to incumbents.
